Become a member! Your financial partnership helps build and maintain a unique greenway with important historical significance. By supporting the Whitewater Canal Trail with your gifts, you create a rich community resource for everyone to enjoy.  By becoming a member of the Whitewater Canal Trail, you also are a member of the Whitewater Valley Walkers!

Recent support has allowed the WCT to accomplish the following:
 

  • Complete the viewing station at Lock 21 and the spur trail leading to it from Yellow Bank Trailhead parking lot
  • Celebrate Earth Day with various activities along the Trail
  • Billy Jean Jobe Trail is open-Trailhead starts at 7th Street in Brookville
  • The Parcourse along the Metamora trail has been completed
  • The development of the trail from the Metamora to the Laurel Feeder Dam is underway with a two mile section completed

 
 

Continued support will allow us to work toward the following:
 

  • Our dream of completing the trail between Brookville and Metamora, which is closer than ever to becoming a reality! The Department of Natural Resources is working diligently to finalize the boundaries along the canal so we can move forward with construction of the trail. 
  • Additional improvements at Yellow Bank Lock to enhance the visitor experience
  • An even bigger Earth Day event
  • Upgrades to several segments of the Trail to meet the needs of trail users
  • Events like the Towpath 10K and the Volksmarch Walk in the Spring
  • Continued development of the trail from Metamora to the Laurel Feeder Dam
